Welcome 

Hello, my name is Eimear Rourke. I am a forth year student currently studying at the National College of Art and Design. I am studying BA Joint (Hons) Textile Surface Design and Education.

I am from a small fishing village, just outside of Drogheda, County Louth. I have always had a passion and interest in creating. I always knew I wanted to study Art after school. 

As for why I wanted to study Education, that is all thanks to my post-primary school Art teacher. I had always admired her love for Art. We were asked in Transition Year " What would you like to study after you finish your Leaving Certificate ?", I knew I wanted to just be like my Art teacher and that's when I wrote down ' I want to study Art to become an Art teacher '.
